Our rapeseed and mineral wax blend creates a beautiful, white candle. However some darker fragrance oils like "Dark Honey and Tobacco" may result in a lovely cream hue. This premium blend, favoured by many top-tier candle brands, delivers an exceptionally stable and clean flame. This blend provides the longest burn times (approximately 50 hours for the 30cl candle). Along with excellent scent throw properties which produces a powerful fragrance with less oil needed.
Our soy candles and melts feature Golden Wax Soy, a premium choice for those seeking a plant-based option. Our supplier responsibly sources this soy, and is on track to guarantee it as 100% verified deforestation-free by 2025. It is vegan-friendly and offers a clean burn. However, it does require a bit more fragrance to achieve a robust scent throw. It also burns a little faster than our rapeseed and mineral blend (40 hours approximately for a 30cl candle). Consequently, these candles are priced slightly higher and won't burn for as long. However, if you prioritize a vegan, plant-based wax for your candle, this is undoubtedly the option we recommend.
Our plant wax scented container candles are crafted with a luxurious coconut and rapeseed blend. This European-blended wax boasts properties similar to soy, but creates a whiter candle. Crucially, it contains only GMO-free coconut and rapeseed oils. It is also completely free from paraffin, soy, palm, beeswax, and any synthetic additives. This is our premium candle and offers a similar burn time to soy, (approximately 35 hours for a 30cl candle). We wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone seeking a soy-free, plant-based, and vegan-friendly candle experience.
Our pillar candles and wax containers are made from very high quality mineral wax, which holds it own shape to allow free standing forms to be made. It also has a higher melting point meaning that our vases, plant pots and containers will not deform during normal indoor use. However they should not be placed in direct sunlight for example on a south window sill as they will deform in direct strong sunlight. Direct sunlight can also cause the colours to fade. The wax lanterns are also made from mineral wax as the higher melting point allows these lanterns to be lit by the tealights inside a votive glass without melting.

Pet Safety
Many people search for pet friendly scented products. However the truth is that like people, all pets can react differently to fragrances and while most of our pets might be fine, some pets, like some humans, can find certain fragrances cause a reaction. You can read our detailed post discussing whether candles and melts are safe for pets. We always advise you follow the points below when using a new fragranced product in the home you share with cats and/or dogs.
Ventilate Your Space: Always burn candles or use wax melts in a well-ventilated room. Open a window slightly (but not so close to the candle/warmer that it creates a draft) to ensure good air circulation, which helps disperse any airborne particles.
Placement is Paramount: Keep all lit candles and active wax warmers (both electric and tealight) well out of reach of curious paws and tails. High shelves or areas your pet cannot access are ideal. Most importantly, never leave them unattended.
Observe Your Pet Closely: Pay keen attention to your pet's behaviour. If they show any signs of discomfort—such as sneezing, watery eyes, coughing, lethargy, or if they actively try to leave the room—extinguish the candle or turn off the warmer immediately. Their heightened sense of smell can easily become overwhelmed. If the problem persists, take your pet outside into fresh air and consult a vet if symptoms continue.
Avoid Direct Contact: Never apply essential oils or fragrance oils directly to your pet's skin or fur, or allow them to lick or ingest the products.
Consult Your Vet: If you have any ongoing concerns, or if your pet exhibits worrying symptoms after exposure to scented products, contact your veterinarian immediately for professional advice.
I’ve been using the Insect Repellent Candle with Citrepel, citronella, and lemongrass for a few weeks now, and I’m impressed. It does exactly what it claims: it keeps houseflies and other insects at bay, even during long evenings outdoors. The scent is fresh and pleasant, not overpowering like some citronella products.
